Texas Breastfeeding Coalition 2006 Activities:

1. Collect local breastfeeding support resource information

2. Support 2007 legislative agenda

3. Continue to build the web site to include:
Local resources contact information
Facilitation of legislator contact to support breastfeeding legislation

4. Identify and invite key stakeholders to participate in the formative stages of coalition building including

Determination and prioritization of coalition activities for coming years
Development of coalition by laws
Selection of the board and administrative officers
Participation in the media event officially launching the coalition during World Breastfeeding Month, 2006.
Collaboration with the DSHS to update the Strategic Plan for Promotion of Breastfeeding in Texas
